This particular feature has been incorporated to keep the car safe from being stolen. The iCAT is the intelligent Computerised Anti-Theft system. This system ensures full protection of the car. The iCAT works on the principle of unique electronic identification. A secret code in the car communicates with the engine computer. If the secret code does not match with the engine computer, the car does not start and it prevents the car from any security related threat. This feature is highly beneficial as the number of car thefts have been increased in the recent times. Maruti Suzuki Estilo has iCAT feature mounted in all three variants of the car namely Lx, Lxi and Vxi.
The other salient features of the Maruti Estilo are SRS Airbag, ABS, Side door Beams, High mount Stop Lamp, Child lock (Rear Door), Front wiper, Back Door Deffoger, Front Fog Lamps, Rear Fog Lamps, Steering Locks, Security System. Along with the hi-tech features the Suzuki Estilo provides a high mileage of 19Kmpl which has come as a boon in the times of economic meltdown. Moreover, the Estilo has compact dimensions, shorter wheelbase, high ground clearance and a minimum turning radius. These entire features make it the ideal car for the Indian roads. The wheelbase is 2360mm; turning radius is 4.6m while the ground clearance is 165mm.
