Maruti Suzuki India Limited is a known brand in the Automobile Industry. The all new Maruti Suzuki Estilo adorns K series engine with three cylinders that makes the car very appealing and efficient for everyone. It will also race with the iRDRE engine and the Chevrolet’s SOHC engine. The specialty of the engine is its fuel-efficient nature and compliance to 4- and Euro 5-norm. As already mentioned about its rival, Hyundai India has already introduced Euro 4-compliant engines across its range of models in India. It is the most advanced engines in the car manufacturer’s stable and in a span of 3-5 years all the aruti-Suzuki’s existing models like Zen Estilo, Swift, and WagonR would also be fitted with the K-series ngines. Maruti-Suzuki Splash, another upcoming hatchback will also make its entry in to Indian roads with K-series engine.
At present, Maruti Suzuki uses five types of engines for its five different engines. The first is the F series engines for Maruti 800, Omni, Wagon R and Zen Estilo; the G-series (available in two variants) in the Swift, Swift Dzire and Versa; the M-series in the SX4, and the latest to be launched the K-series for upcoming cars like ‘A Star’ which will be propelled by 1-litre K-series petrol engine and ‘Splash’ – run by a 3-litre engine which is available in both petrol and diesel versions.
The company is working very aggressively to push the sales up by spreading themselves in smaller towns and cities. In the year 2008, the company made whooping record sales by exporting 53,000 cars. The net profit of the Maruti Suzuki Limited in the first quarter of 2008-09 was reported at around Rs. 465.9 cr.
